Got out for about 2 hours this afternoon, between rain showers, and saw:

a pair of wood ducks - FOY for me
yellow warbler
yellow-rumped warblers - three or four
yellow-throated warbler - singing in tall conifers
Louisiana waterthrush - singing as if on territory, but moving

blue-gray gnatcatcher

The activity of the tufted titmouses was frenetic, to say the least.  As fast as they were moving, and gleaning insects, etc., I think some of them probably have hatched nestlings now.

Lots of woodpeckers drumming, and a red-bellied carrying something into a hole.

Best sound of the day - a lovely white-throated sparrow giving it's wonderful north-woods song.  That may be my favorite sound in all the world.
