Earlier today I reported seeing a distant flock of shorebirds heading
somewhere east of Medusa Marsh. I guessed (wrongly) that they may have been
Dunlin. Several birders have written to me that the birds were probably
Pectoral Sandpipers. The timing is right and flocks of Pectorals were seen
recently in Wyandot and Hardin Counties. Thanks to all for your comments.
