Today, Saturday, we visited Wendy Park near downtown Cleveland from about 10:30 to 11:30 AM.  Were hoping to see some hawk migration with the southwest winds but only saw one TV.  There were lots of Bonaparte's Gulls, however, probably about 500 in Lake Erie very close to shore and flying around overhead.  Also, the outer breakwall was lined with Cormorants as far as the eye could see. I don't think there was room for one more.  The only land bird action was a bunch of Robins, some Flickers, a few Song Sparrows, and a Mockingbird.  On the road out, however, we first heard, then saw a Mockingbird with a very good song repertoire.  He was doing titmouse, Carolina wren, and a bunch of other stuff.

After that we did Erie Street Cemetery from about 11:30 to 12:30.  We came in the east gate and were greeted by the usual Robins and Flickers.  Another birder coming out directed us to the good stuff, all of which was against the shady south wall near the west end.  We had 2 American Woodcocks, 3 male Eastern Towhees, and 4 Fox Sparrows.  We also saw a male YB Sapsucker and two Field Sparrows.  On the north side of the cemetery there were about ten Juncos and several Song Sparrows.
