Yesterday was a lovely day to be out.  In the morning, I joined the Dayton
Audubon field trip to Englewood Metropark.

Pie-biled grebe
American bittern (North Park, briefly visible from the parking lot road)
Great blue heron
Turk Vulture
Canada goose
Wood duck
Mallard
Blue-winged teal
Green-winged teal
Hooded Merganser
Cooper's hawk
Red-tailed Hawk
Killdeer
Belted Kingfisher (North park)
Red-bellied woodpecker
Downy woodpecker
Blue jay
American crow
Tree swallow
Northern rough-winged swallow
Carolina Chickadee
White-breasted nuthatch
Tufted titmouse
Eastern bluebird
American robin

Rufous-sided towhee

In the evening I went to Oakes Quarry Park in Fairborn to see the woodcock
skydance
