I went up to Conneaut harbor this morning and stayed from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM.  Shorebirds and terns were moving noticeably today.  The biggest surprise was a coyote out on the spit at the muddy pool in the afternoon!!  Bird totals for the day: 1 lesser scaup, 1 common loon, bald eagle, 1 osprey (migrating), 2 black-bellied plovers, 13 semipalmated plovers, 10 lesser yellowlegs, 21 least sandpipers, 19 dunlin, 8 short-billed dowitchers (hendersoni), 14 Caspian terns, 43 common terns (2 flocks), and 14 great black-backed gulls.  And yes, the weather was awful.  Craig Holt, Lowellville
