A cool, cloudy day on our spring count around Mosquito Lake turned out to be memorable. Saw 1 Barred Owl and heard 5 others calling in 2 different places. Something was causing them to vocalize - remarkable. Over 85 species, 3 Cerulean warblers, (2 on old territories) only 3 Foresters Terns and only 1 Caspian tern. Veerys were more vocal than the Barred Owls.
