Finally, a shift away from the NorthEast winds. A major change in birds
occurred last night. While not of large volume it appears many of the birds
that have been hanging out since last Friday have moved on with replacements
arriving. Yesterday the Navarre Banding Station banded over 100 birds but
also had over 100 recaptures from previous days including a Connecticut
Warbler banded last Friday. Today over 150 birds were banded with only a few
migrant recaptures.

If the High pressure cell blocker that now sits over Ohio moves eastward we
should see a very good movement tomorrow and Saturday. Third wave warblers
are taking over with many females now. Still, few vireos and flycatchers are
being seen. That could change over night.

This should be a good weekend to get up to the lake shore for the late
migrant show.
