I forgot to include this in my report
 
I had 5 species of swallow out on the spit
Bank
Barn
Cliff
Purple Martin
Tree
Bank was the most numerous
 
I saw Walt Shaffer from Pittsburgh there today and he told me that he was there last Monday and that he had an adult Franklin`s Gull there that he photographed

Hello,
I did an overnight trip to Conneaut
 
yesterday evening I had the following shorebirds on the spit
 
 
1 Semi-palmated Plover
1 Killdeer
8 Dunlin
3 Semi-palmated Sandpiper
10 Least Sandpiper
4 Spotted Sandpiper
1 Solitary Sandpiper(this is a first for me at Conneaut)
2 Lesser Yellowlegs
 
also on the shore near the boat launch there were 26 Turkey Vultures
 
I arrived at the spit at daybreak and stayed till noon
 
The following birds were seen there
 
Shorebirds
 
1 Sanderling
3 Black-bellied Plover
2 Killdeer
22 Semi-palmated Plover
6 Short-billed Dowitcher
9 Dunlin
3 Lesser Yellowlegs
1 Ruddy Turnstone
14 Semi-palmated Sandpiper
7 Least Sandpiper
4 Spotted Sandpiper
 
other birds seen
 
1 Sora
2 Green Heron
4 Great Blue Heron
3 Caspian Tern
3 Common Tern
1 N. Harrier
6 Bald Eagle
1 Wood Duck
 
last evening there was a Muskrat in the wet area and this morning a deer walked through it several times
