While kayaking up on Hoover Reservoir this morning, there was a flight of
roughly 50 to 60 Whimbrel over the north end. They  circled numerous times
and flew as far south as the Sunbury bridge (estimated) and north near the
boardwalk. It was obvious they were searching for some good habitat to land
but they waved off their approach several times and eventually flew north.
The link below is a photo of a small portion of the birds.

There are two Osprey chicks on the platform south of the boardwalk. There
may be a third but they sit pretty low in the nest.
