On Sunday I made time to kayak in some of the backwater areas along the Auglaize river in Paulding county.I was rewarded with some excellent birds.Here are a few of the birds I saw.
 
Wood ducks   
Great Blue Heron(on nest)
Red-headed woodpeckers-over a dozen birds
Pileated woodpeckers
Great crested fly catchers
Eastern king birds
Tree swallows-too many to count
Prothonotary warblers-3 to 4 males chasing each other
Common Yellowthroats
Northern Waterthrushes
Yellow warblers
Northern Parulas
Bald Eagles-various aged birds
plus numerous other birds,snakes and turtles.
