On Sunday I made time kayak in some of the backwater areas of the Auglaize
River in Paulding county.Here are some of the birds I observed.

Wood ducks
Great Blue Herons(some on nests)
Red-Headed Woodpeckers(15-20 interacting birds)
Pileated woodpeckers(pair at nest hole-female in hole,male reaching in)
Great created fly catchers(males chasing one another)
Eastern King birds
Tree swallows( too many to count)
Prothonotary Warblers(3-5 males,some chasing each other)
Common Yellowthroats
Northern Waterthrushes
Yellow Warblers
Northern Parulas(heard)
Black-throated Green Warblers(heard)
Oven bird(heard)
Hermit Thrush (heard)
House wren(entering hole with sticks)
Bald Eagles
Plus some Northern water snakes,turtles and numerous bloodsucking bugs.
