Larry Gara and I were among about eight birders who found the gallinule to
day.  We watched it for about an hour and a half.  This bird is a shameless
exhibitionist.  I took a cardful of photos,  Then we started the 3 1/2 hour
drive back home thinking that it was more than worthwhile.
