I would really appreciate a URL to a fairly high resolution map of Magee
that I can print that has each of the numbered locations on it. I have only
been there twice and occasionally notice some numbers imbedded in the top
rail, but other than that I have no clue what you Ohio locals are talking
about. I guess I am normally looking outward... :)

To avoid clutter and multiplication, please copy the list on the first
reply.

Thanks!

p.s., I just thought about this. Would it not be great if Google could
someday be allowed and coaxed into driving an all terrain vehicle along the
boardwalk taking 360-degree pics at each numbered spot. (Obviously this
would occur sometime other than an active birding time!) Then I would know
exactly where I was just from having "looked around" on the internet from
home! Hey the technology exists!!! They have done this in many major cities
and neighborhoods; it is actually possible!

OK, yes this sounds weird. For you in Ohio - I just joined your list last
week - you do not yet know I ramble and fantasize, but I really think this
is a possibility in which the Google team might just be interested. I doubt
they have ever mounted their 360-degree equipment on an ATV! Sounds like
techie heaven for me - especially if they have any birders or nature lovers
on their staff! I suspect they would bear all expenses just to get to do it!

The only downside might be increased visitation beyond the thousands of
birders already expected this weekend.

Anyway, I really do want the URL before I go back next week, so someone
please reply.

Thanks!!!

Subject: [Ohio-birds] Magee Marsh update 5-6

Hi folks,

As mentioned by Kenn Kaufman yesterday, there is a good variety of
warbler species here at the Magee Marsh boardwalk. During the couple
hours I was leading a group this morning, highlights were a Kentucky
warbler on the north side of the boardwalk near #7A (prompting one of
those patented Magee Marsh birder stampedes), good looks at a Hooded
warbler on the south side near #7, and a Prothonotary warbler on the
south side near #17B. Every bird was exciting to the group, and it is
always heartening to see the joy on rookie and veteran birdwatchers
faces as they see the warblers passing through.
