Hello Birders,

The Purple Gallinule was still at Columbia Reservation, Lorain Metropark today, Thursday 5/6/10 at 6:44 p.m. It was in the first pond on the right, near where two logs are beside the trail. The park naturalist has posted signs. to lead you to the right spot. My husband and I arrived as a large group of Amish birders was leaving.

Thanks so much to all who have kept us up to date on the bird, and to the birders who kindly pointed out the bird.

Penny O'Connor
Cleveland OH
