Julie Karlson, Larry Jeanblanc, and I were out working on the breeding bird
atlas this morning. We started on block 66C1SW and drove along McPherson
Road. We heard a Blue Grosbeak singing and after a few minutes managed to
spot the young male which still had some brown on it. If coming from Lower
Bellbrook Road stop before the sharp right curve and look to the south.

Later in the morning we were in block 66C1SE and stopped at what looks like
a new industrial park. We turned onto Innovation Drive off Union Road just
south of Xenia. We didn't go very far before hearing another Blue Grosbeak
on the right side of the road. We weren't able to spot this bird. We also
heard a Grasshopper Sparrow singing here.

You never know what you might find while out adding data to this project.
