Two brief (60min) forays here yielded:

Bald Eagle
Osprey
Great Blue Heron
Eastern Towhee
Common Yellowthroat
Eastern Phobe
Brown Thrasher
Yellow-breasted Chat
Northern Flicker
(Hairy / Downy?) Woodpecker
Red-wing Blackbird
Song Sparrow
Chipping Sparrow
Blue Bird

If you have never been in what we call the "backwaters", enter by
either Soehnien or Kaylor roads (see map). The area is a good mix of
marsh, conifer / deciduous woodland and field. The Beach City Dam
area is located directly off of 250. At the moment it is closed to
traffic while they do extensive road work within. I'm really excited
to return and spend some time here. There were a lot more birds
around than I had the time to ID.

Binocs up,
Nathan Madison
