Karl Overman and his group did better than I did at Lake La Su An
Wildlife Area in Williams County this past weekend. But I wanted to
add two birds of interest not mentioned by Karl that I saw while
birding there on Sunday, May 30.

At the parking area just west of the St. Joseph's River along Rd. S,
I had a singing Alder Flycatcher.

Also, in a wooded swamp south of Rd S, I found a family group of four
Brown Creepers. This is the third area where I have found breeding
(or probable breeding) Brown Creepers at Lake La Su An over the past
several years.
