Last year this time someone from the turkey federation was looking for
breeding success information for wild turkeys. While my wife and I enjoyed
dinner on the deck this evening we observed 5 adults with 6 poults feeding
at the back of the horse pasture a couple hundred yards away. Last year
there were 5 adults and 7 poults.

The poults were small - maybe 10 - 12 inches tall - and were often hidden in
the grass even though the pasture was mowed on Saturday.
