On Friday and Saturday, an adult bald eagle was seen near Woods Road wetland between Rossburg and Ansonia.   Jeff Martin was the first to report and Tina White reported it on Sat.

On Sat. a.m. the Darke County Birders held their annual breeding bird survey.  Attending were Steve Miller, Ann Glidewell, Autumn Young, and Dan Young.  Kevin Schieltz, Regina Schieltz, and Autumn Young birded for a short time on Friday evening.  This year the site was moved from near New Madison to a farm east of Union City.  
Highlights included
sedge wren, green heron, gr. cr. flycatcher, yellow billed cuckoo, bl-gr gnatcatcher, screech owl, turkeys, pewee.
