Looking down river from the SR 571 bridge I saw and heard two other Red-headed Woodpeckers. This is along the Great Miami River just east of Tipp City. The habitat is Sycamore, Cottonwood and Maple. My veterinarian says there have been ticks with Lyme disease found in Coshocton County this year and that it's been a "good" year for ticks- part of a two-year cycle that has been favorable for them, including our nice wet spring.
