I stopped by Conneaut this morning. There was not a lot moving, but I did
not get there until about 9:30. When I got there a semipalmated sandpiper
and 5 short-billed dowitchers were present. A little later a stilt
sandpiper and another short-billed dowitcher came in and joined the
dowitcher group. Within a minute or two the stilt sandpiper flew off with
one of the original five dowitchers. The dowitcher it had flown in with
joined the group of original dowitchers. I thought that was a bit odd. Not
much else other than herring and ring-billed gulls and mallards and
blue-winged teal.
