This AM the Cowan Lake spillway looked just about perfect for shorebirds and a few started feeding on it. There were:

45 Killdeer
7 Pectoral Sandpipers
6 Spotted Sandpipers

If you are in the area it is well worth checking if the water level does not get too high.
