This was the last atlas block in Region 65 with no coverage so I went up
there this morning. Looking down river from the SR 571 bridge I saw and
heard two other Red-headed Woodpeckers. This is along the Great Miami
River just east of Tipp City. The habitat is Sycamore, Cottonwood and
Maple. There is a golf course about one mile down river from here and
there were some oak trees once you got out of the river valley itself.
