We had a single Red-breasted Nuthatch in our front yard oak tree in Rocky River today 7/8/2010 at about 1:00PM.  It only stayed around for a few minutes before being chased off by our resident White-breasted Nuthatch.  This is the first time we have ever seen one in our yard in summer and I wouldn't consider our neighborhood suitable nesting habitat.  We'll keep an eye out to see if he makes a return appearance.
