A real treat today at Mohican. Birded from 6:30AM-11:00AM starting at
the covered bridge. Saw a half dozen Veery in plain sight all over
the grassy parking area below the bridge as well as a family of Wood
Duck and a Hooded Warbler.

But what a surprise! After chasing an Ovenbird and a Black-throated
Green Warbler in the forest beside the Gorge Overlook we stopped at
the main (right side) overlook itself. And there, right in a stand of
pines was a Winter Wren singing its heart out. We listened for 30min
trying to see the bird and finally got a few brief moments before it
flew down the gorge. Well worth the effort!

See: amcobirder.blogspot.com for more info.

Happy Birding!
