I arrived at Conneaut shortly before 8am, to find a single American Avocet
on the beach near the pit. Twenty Short-billed Dowitchers along with a few
Lesser Yellowlegs kept an eye on two juvenile Bald Eagles nearby. The avocet
was in the same spot when I left around noon.
