The Ohio State University Ornithology Club took a trip to Hoover Reservoir
in Delaware County this morning. We visited 3 main areas: Mudhen Marsh,
the Boardwalk at Area M, and the old roadbed at Dustin Rd. Among the
highlights (Numbers in parentheses):
Mudhen Marsh:
Black-and-white Warbler (3)
Magnolia Warbler
Canada Warbler
Area M Boardwalk:
Solitary Sandpiper (~6)
Pectoral Sandpiper (~5)
Least Sandpiper (~10)
Semipalmated Sandpiper (~50)
Semipalmated Plover (~10)
Old Roadbed:
Semipalmated Sandpiper (~15)
Least Sandpiper (~5)
We also heard a secondhand report of a Baird's Sandpiper by the Yacht Club
off Sunbury Rd., but we did not have time to see it ourselves.
