These two shorebird goodies were among an interesting collection at Teal Pond late this morning. Total list included
Semipalmated Plover - 1
Black-bellied Plover - 1 in beautiful Alternate plumage
Kildeer - 50+
Gr.Yellowlegs - 1
L.Yellowlegs - 6
Pectoral Spr - 10+
Semipalmated Spr - 10+
Least Spr - 6
Short-billed Dowitcher - 1
Wilson's Phalarope - 1

Also present were 3 Great Egrets, 3 Osprey, 5-6 Turkey Vultures, 1 Red-tailed Hawk, and a mixed flock of Swallows that included Tree, Rough-winged, Bank, and Barn. Wood Duck POnd is also worth checking as the water level is low there, but Mallard marsh is not easily seen from the viewing platform due to high vegetation. Ellis Pond further south had high water levels and had little of note besides 2 Great Egrets and a Green Heron
