There are a couple of interesting comments and links about the upcoming
movie "The Big Year" over recent days on the Missouri list at
http://www.birdingonthe.net/mailinglists/MOBD.html . My brother told me
he and his wife were driving up Vancouver Island while on vacation a few
weeks ago, when police stopped them for "road repair" in this fairly
lonely location. He and Lucy did some botanizing beside the road till
they were allowed to continue, whereupon they found there was no repair
going on, but instead a cluster of trucks and trailers, a camera boom,
and lights. They later checked a British Columbia web site and found
that only one movie was being filmed there at the time---"The Big Year."
