Hi all,
I tried to be as absolutely clear as possible about the arrangements to see
the kites, and apologize if I wasn't.
We had to jump through hoops to gain access for birders to enter Hide-A-Way
Hills, which is a secure gated community. As part of the arrangement the
names of any guests must be submitted in advance. This is not a situation
where one can just show up announced. I had to turn the list into our host,
who has property within the community, by 5 pm today, which I did. If your
name isn't on the list, it'll likely cause problems when trying to enter the
community and that is a situation best avoided. I don't think there is any
way I can get in touch with her now and add names.
This is an ultra-private property situation, hence the issues involved with
access, but I am very appreciative that the management of Hide-A-Way Hills
is providing an opportunity for birders to see the kites.
