Hello Ohio birders:

The returning shorebirds, the few silent flocks of warblers, and the
disappearing male Ruby-throated Hummingbirds are telling us that autumn
is upon us.

31 July marked the end of summer in terms of the way we keep track of
bird records; summer is considered to run just two months, from June 1st
to July 31st.

Please consider submitting your observations of Ohio birds from the
summer season to The Ohio Cardinal.  The bulk of the issues are made up
of field observations from birders, and we are eager to find out about
and report on what you've been seeing.
