Last night (September 12-13, 2010) between 11:15 PM and 6:15 AM the
microphone on the roof of my house in Cleveland Heights detected over
400 thrush calls. I believe that the majority of the calls were
Swainson's Thrush (probably 80% or more), and most of the rest
Gray-cheeked Thrush, with a Veery or two thrown in. This morning at the
Nature Center at Shaker Lakes (about 3/4 miles southeast of my house)
Julie West banded 16 Swainson's Thrushes and two Gray-cheeked Thrushes.

I also detected a much smaller number of higher frequency (probably
warbler) calls, but these are much harder to pick up and sort out, and I
did not attempt to count them.
