I got word from Sean Artman that he saw and heard 2 COMMON RAVENS yesterday (9/23) along Pymatuning Lake Rd. a couple miles north of the Pymatuning L. causeway (Rte. 85) in SE Ashtabula Co.  This is very close to the PA line.  He had close observations of the ravens as well as direct comparisons to Am. crows.  Also yesterday, I spent a couple hours birding locally here in Poland Twp., NE Mahoning Co. and had the following: Cooper's hawk, chimney swifts, hairy woodpecker, pileated woodpecker, 2 e. wood-pewees, red-eyed vireo, Carolina wren, 3 house wrens, winter wren, e. bluebird, gray catbirds, cedar waxwings, magnolia warbler, blackpoll warbler, black-and-white warbler, c. yellowthroat, scarlet tanager, e. towhees, and rose-breasted grosbeak.  In nearby Struthers, I saw an adult bald eagle (or two?) soaring over the Mahoning R. valley on 9/22 and 9/23.  Probably migrant(s), as eagles are not known to nest there.  Craig Holt, Lowellville (mailing
