Stopping at a windy Highland Park Cemetery late yesterday afternoon, I
found a busy flock of
warblers right by the Chagrin entrance.  They were mainly yellow
rumps, feeding in
the grass. The flock moved rapidly  through the old sections of the
cemetery and every time I
caught up with them the composition seemed the same. About 12 yellow
rumps, one black throated green
warbler and a few chipping sparrows thrown in for good measure. Also a
red breasted nuthatch.

At the other end of the cemetery there were well over sixty chipping
sparrows crouching along the edges of the
road and disappearing into the short grass, like so many little mice.
I counted them as they flew off, moving from
spot to spot.
