With my car still on the disabled list, I again took a morning hike around the woods and fields of my rural neighborhood in Poland Twp. in NE Mahoning Co.  Though this is no hotspot, it does provide pretty interesting birding most of the year.  Today's birds included red-shouldered hawk, n. flicker, red-eyed vireo, red-breasted nuthatch, winter wren (came within 4 feet of where I was sitting, very cool!!), Am. robins, gray catbirds, cedar waxwings, black-throated green warbler, blackpoll warbler, e. towhees, and rose-breasted grosbeak.  Craig Holt, Lowellville
