Got to Lorain about 7:30pm and only stayed about half an hour. Most of the birds were tucked in next to junk and garbage out there but a single avocet and two black bellied plovers were still braving the wind. A beautiful bairds sandpiper allowed me to get within ten feet of it and of course no camera....story of my life.
It was a crazy day out there with the highlight being the awesome long-tailed jaeger with Jen Brumfield this morning at Sunset Park. (Jen you are the best!) hoping tomorrow has a few wayward travelers hanging around.
Good birding,
