I spent a few hours around the southern end of this Delaware COunty reservoir looking for migrants, mostly at the beach area and New Galena boat launch. The wind made birding a bit challenging, but there were some windless pockets for landbirds. Notables included:

shorebirds - not much, with 10-12 Kildeer on the beach, and a few Least Sandpipers on the grass behind the beach. Water level here is still too high for any significant mudflats.

gulls - 250 Ring-bills and 5 Herring Gulls on the beach, but nothing mixed in with them.

flycatchers - still plenty of Wood Pewees, but more notable were 2 Willow flycatchers near the Visitor's Center below the beach, and 2 late E.Kingbirds at New Galena.

swallows, swifts - a good late push, with 60+ Cliff Swallows, 15-20 Barn Swallows, and 4 Bank Swallows, most of which were feeding around the beach area. Chimney swifts were also noticeable, with 40-50 scattered around the lower lake.

vireos - 4 White-eyed vireos at New Galena may be the seasonal peak for this species, while 5-6 Warbling vireos between the two sites is another good showing. Oddly enough, not a single Red-eyed.

gnatcatchers - 6-7 of these doughty little birds hows that their migration isn't quite over yet.

thrushes, mimids - low supply, with no woodland thrushes, and small #s of Catbirds and Robins.

cedar waxwings - no low supply here, with small flocks everywhere. New Galena had 80-100 flycatching in windless areas near the point.

warblers - not much, with only 8 species and low numbers of individuals: 1 Blue-winged, 2 Cape May, 2 Magnolia, 1 Black-thr.Green, 2 Blackburnian, 1 Blackpoll, 1 Bay-breasted, 3 Redstarts

others - single Rose-br.Grosbeak and Scarlet Tanager were lurking at New Galena
