Today between 1 and 2 pm there was an adult osprey keeping a watchful eye on
the upper of the two ponds by Wade Chapel, in a snag adjacent to the spot where
the brook enters the pond.  It first perched directly above me (in my truck as a
blind) and I was only aware of it because I saw it's shadow on the ground
followed by some fluff falling from the tree (a sycamore).  I got out to get a
look and it flew around the pond several times and finally lit on the far
side...I pass thru Lakeview quite frequently and have never before seen an
osprey there, and similarly, at North Chagrin I saw one earlier this summer,
another first.
