We are in northern Summit county and have 4 apple trees - 2 'old' and 2 'new'.

Last evening was the first time I witnessed house finches taking bites from the apples.

Looked closely and even too photos, they were eating the apples, not insects or worms.

Would anyone who has observed this or knows about it please contact me.

Oh, on a butterfly. Note had over 100 buckeyes today.
