I was working in the garage once and heard a flock of starlings in the yard, but
couldn't see any.   Further exploration revealed a blue jay perfectly mimicking
a flock.   I marveled as I stood there listening.    That was 5 or 6 years ago I
have yet to hear a convincing reason for why the bird would do that.
