Late post - Headlands Beach SP Sunday AM a short-eared owl was flying 
above the beach vicinity at the mouth of the Grand R; alighted in a 
cottonwood  above us, then flew down into the dunes where another birder 
reportedly flushed it so it was seen by a couple more observers.
We then watched the LeConte's sparrow for 10 min at Wakerobin Trail of 
Mentor Marsh- saw numerous other sparrows and, oddly, a winter wren there.
