I have been listening to a 'parliament' of barred owls calling, hooting 
and other vocalization for the past week. We counted at least 5 
individuals tonight. I've heard them at 4 am, 8:30 pm and right now 
they've been vocalizing for at least an hour on and off. This past Friday, 
they were calling at 5:00 pm! It has been such a treat and I only wish I 
had something to record them. It is incredible to hear the variety of 
calls. Googling owl calls, I found this link:
