At LaDue Reservoir, late this afternoon, although ducks were scare, I
did see two long tailed ducks.
One, a pale splotchy bird disappeared while I was poking through my
books, trying to figure out which plumage on which bird
I was seeing, but a dark female remained visible near the edge of the
mud flats most of the time I was there.
Also 5 dunlin and 2 pectoral sandpipers among the many killdeer.
Two sand hill cranes on my side of the lake, joined by a bald eagle
that set most everything into motion.
