A jackpot morning at Caesar Creek beach. As soon as I set up my scope five
AMERICAN AVOCETS popped into view. They are in winter plummage and one is a very dark juvenile. To add to my joy, while checking the several Bonaparte;s Gulls and
Herring Gulls amidst the huge flock of Ring-bills, I spotted what is most likely the same
FRANKLIN'S GULL we hae for nearly a month.

Happy Birder Cheers,
Larry Gara, Wilmington
