I had a chance to visit two local reservoirs (O'Shaughnessy & Hoover) that have experienced severe drops in water level over the last 2 months.  O'Shaughnessy has large mudflats stretching from Home Road north; the regions around Pylon Point (Area P) are mostly mudflat now.  Hoover is at the lowest level I've ever seen it.  The north end mudflats stretch all the way down to Area I, and the bays around Oxbow Island have shrunk down to their original streams.  It's too bad that this happened about 1-2 months too late, otherwise we'd have great shorebirding.  As it was, both flats attracted only the late stragglers:

O'Shaughnessy :  Kildeer - 16,  Dunlin - 24,  Bonaparte's Gull - 50,  Ring-billed Gull - 120,  Great Blue Heron - 5,  Canada Goose - 20,  Green-winged Teal - 1

Hoover : Kildeer - 20,  Dunlin - 10,  Bonaparte'sGull - 15,  Ring-billed Gull - 60,  Great Blue Heron - 4, Canada Goose - 80,  Black Duck - 9
