My family thought I was insane dragging them to Mentor and
on the very long, windy walk across the beach, especially
after last winter when we had four or five equally insane (and
completely failed) quests for snow buntings.

When we got to the lighthouse we were prepared for
disappointment because there were no flocks, but with a tiny
bit of patience, I found one very cooperative snow bunting walking
around on the beach near the lighthouse, so the entire family finally
saw one.

We also saw two dunlin on the beach as we were walking away afterwards.
