It was a pleasure to join the OOS field trip group at Conneaut this morning.  I was there from 7:45 to 1:45, the day's tally included: gadwall, 10 green-winged teal, greater scaup, common merganser, 3 pied-billed grebes, a good movement of 425 double-crested cormorants, juv. black-crowned night-heron, bald eagle, osprey, peregrine falcon, Am. coot, 2 Am. golden-plovers, 5 semipalmated plovers, lesser yellowlegs, sanderlings, least sandpiper, juv. white-rumped sandpiper, 10 dunlin, 150 Bonaparte's gulls, 2 great black-backed gulls, 40 common terns, Forster's tern, belted kingfisher, horned lark, 10+ Am. pipits, golden-crowned kinglets, ruby-crowned kinglets, winter wren, 25+ yellow-rumped warblers, field sparrow, white-crowned sparrows, and a Lapland longspur.  In the afternoon I stopped at Mosquito L.  Again I joined in with other birders, which made for a fun day.  Of note there were: gadwalls, Am. wigeon, n. shovelers, green-winged teal, 7 ruddy
ducks, wild turkey, bald eagle, killdeers, 10+ lesser yellowlegs, greater yellowlegs, the continuing Hudsonian godwit (fifth day, bird is feeding like crazy), 7 least sandpipers, 12 pectoral sandpipers, 3 dunlin, and 15 Am. pipits.  Craig Holt , Lowellville
