Checked out Greenlawn on Sunday, after months of dry weather. The pond is lower than I've ever seen it, but a resident Belted Kingfisher hangs on. The feeders in front of the pond are usually good for a Red-breasted Nuthatch and didn't disappoint. The pair of resident Northern Mockingbirds was stationed, as usual, on the fence which separates the Cemetery from the old Cooper's Stadium. A lone Hermit Thrush was found at the bridge. The Audubon's river overlook produced only one Great Egret and one Great Blue Heron, but the boat dock (off Scioto Rd.) held lots of Ring-billed Gulls and Double-crested Cormorants, plus two Yellow-rumped Warblers. On Friday I visited Magee Marsh and it was very quiet, with the exception of Golden-crowned Kinglets along the entire boardwalk.
