I passed through Frohring late this afternoon, just in time to get
caught by another shower.

I barely saw a bird before the rain came, but afterwards, a number of
sparrows popped
out of the weeds to face the sun and dry out. A scope would have been
fun, since they were all
stretched out along the little berm, but a little far for binoculars.

Lots of white crowned sparrows, a handful of song sparrows, and a few
savannah sparrows.
I think there was a vesper, but a bit far to confidently add to my
ebird reports.

Also flushed one W. Snipe and disturbed three meadowlarks as I was
trying to get closer to the sparrows.
