I arrived at the sandbar area of Conneaut Harbor this morning around 11:00
AM and got great looks at a Red Phalarope. (It is possible there were two,
as reported at least once previously, but I couldn't swear to it.) It
sometimes came close enough, maybe 30 feet, that I could get a reasonable
photo even with a simple 12X point-and-shoot Canon IS2.

Other shorebirds were two Sanderlings, a Dunlin, and a Greater Yellowlegs.
The phalarope was still there at 1:30. The female Surf Scoter was present
far off. I did not see any Franklin's or Little Gulls.

I took a detour on the way home and swung by that wonderful pull-off at the
northwest corner of Mosquito Lake. The stars there were 12 fairly close
Snipe. I did not see the Hudsonian Godwit. As usual there were hundreds of
Green-winged, Teal, Gadwall, and Wigeon. Also some Hooded Mergansers.
